Plant the Seeds You Want to Harvest

Norman Vincent Peale reminded us long ago that our thoughts create our reality. Your thoughts like seeds sprout and grow into things. What seeds are you planting? Peale stated, “If you have zest and enthusiasm you attract zest and enthusiasm. Life does give back in kind.”

Knowing that life gives back in kind you need to be mindful of the seeds you sow. Robert Louis Stevenson stated, “Do not measure success by today’s harvest. Opening Yourself Up to Your Purpose in Life

I was thinking about something that Eckhart Tolle said to Oprah last year when he was on her Soul Series radio show speaking about his book, A New Earth: Awakening to Your Life’s Purpose. He said, “Something is true when it resonates with and expresses your innermost Being, when it is in alignment with your inner purpose.”

With what is happening in today’s economy and the growing number of job losses, we are at a turning point. There really is a great chance to find a career that is more aligned with who you truly are and your life’s purpose. Maybe that last statement leaves you to think I am crazy, while you say to yourself, “I need money!” This is understandable and absolutely without question. This does not mean that you cannot work in order to meet your money necessities while at the same time continuing your journey toward a truer calling. Finding our life’s purpose has many layers. You Can Do It! Discovering Your Passion

ezine100127_passionDoing what we really love is absolutely necessary if we want to be fully happy. Parker Palmer, in his book Let Your Life Speak said, “Before I can tell my life what I want to do with it, I must listen to my life telling me who I am.” Profound thought.

Richard Chang, in his book The Passion Plan: A Step-by-Step Guide to Discovering, Developing, and Living Your Passion states that “So many of us are so busy juggling our day-to-day responsibilities that we have become strangers to our passion. We may get small glimpses, little moments of enjoyment and inspiration, but rarely do we benefit from continual or prolonged periods of passion.
