By Arlene
Sunday, May 8th, 2011

By Philip Okrend

Joy is something we all yearn for, and yet in the very complicated world that we live in, with all its demands and distractions, a feeling of joy can feel elusive. In this article, I compare creating joy to an art form much like painting a picture, composing a piece of music, or preparing a delicious meal. Below is a recipe for joyful living. See how these 8 ingredients can make a difference for you in your life.

Here are the ingredients:

1. Intention: This is the foundation of joy. Set your intention every day, and if you do this you will not be taken over by old stories, habits and patterns.

By Nancy Stampahar

Quite often, when people retire and no longer have their job identification tags and roles, they don’t know who they are and how to carry themselves through the later years of life. They may end up feeling bad about themselves and regretful about what they did or did not do. Think about how many years you have left to work? Next, think about how many years you expect to be on this earth? Now, imagine a story about how you want your final chapters to read. Make it a happy ending.

Questions to Ask Yourself to Get Clarity About Your Life and Where It’s Going

By Arlene
Thursday, February 24th, 2011

By Maria Erving

One emotion and state of mind that most people feel is the most difficult to deal with is the sense of not having any clarity about anything. We feel powerless, clueless and frustrated by not knowing what we want, why things are as they are, what to do, which way to go and we can place ourselves in a very negative space by obsessing or feeling guilt over not knowing.

Thinking that we should know, that everybody else seem to have a grand plan for their lives while we don’t even know what to have for dinner.

We want so much, wish and dream, we see it and we feel entitled to greatness, but we don’t know HOW we are going to get it, and we struggle because we think that we have to know everything about everything. Read More→

Fall Deeply in Love With Your Life

By Arlene
Thursday, January 6th, 2011

By Julie McGrath

Let me start with an excerpt from one of my favorite books “The Invitation” by Oriah,

“When I turn my face away from the longing because of my fear of being the fool, I must work to cover the cracks in my resolve to abandon the heat of my desire. But my soul is too aligned with life to give up. Late at night when I am too weary to push away the longing, she comes looking for me, begging me to simply be with her and my fear of her. I can hear her, a small, insistent voice asking me to remember that desire lived brings ecstasy of falling more deeply in love with my own life every day. And in the moment of this remembering, no risk seems to great.”

Falling in Love with your own life every day. Imagine that. Read More→

Find Your Bliss!

By Arlene

By Courtney McFarland

“When you follow your bliss… doors will open where you would not have thought there would be doors; and where there wouldn’t be a door for anyone else.” Joseph Campbell

I read somewhere recently that 75% of Americans have no idea what their true passion is. It is really a shame because this life is either too short or too long to live it without truly fulfilling your destiny. After receiving the book The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho for my birthday last year, I became very passionate about this; relentless really. Whether you call it finding your bliss, passion, purpose, calling, your zone of genius, it is the secret to happiness and prosperity. Read More→
