Practical Mindfulness for Busy Moms

By Arlene

By Tara M Harkins

Most moms I know have a lot on their plate, especially around the holidays. We want the holidays to be a special time for sharing love, fun, delicious food, and for making wonderful memories. Holiday preparations can create a lot of work for moms that are already super busy – the planning, shopping, cleaning, cooking, gifts, traditions, and all the extra touches. It can be really easy to find ourselves caught up in all the stress of our to do lists, while forgetting to enjoy the experience. We want to be more mindful, more present, more in the moment – but we are too busy just trying to get it all done! There is little time to simply ‘be’, to enjoy these significant moments, to celebrate, to give thanks, to come together, and to connect with friends and loved ones. Instead, the holiday season often leaves us stressed, tired, and somewhat disconnected from the wonder, joy, and beauty of these festive times. Read More→

By Glen Russell

Fear is very debilitating, however there are some very simple techniques for overcoming fear that really do work. Below is an outline of 5 of these techniques that will reduce your fear considerably, and even eliminate it altogether.

Overcoming Fear Technique #1 – Becoming Aware of Your Past Life Fears

80% of the fears any person has are past life fears. Your Divine Soul Plan is a document that reveals your past life fears that you have selected to bring into this lifetime to be cleared. These fears can only be cleared when you become aware of them and come face to face with them. When you become aware specifically of what it is that you are afraid of, this helps you to understand the fear more clearly, face it, process it, and then release it. Read More→

I have been meditating for about 6 years now and as it definitely has some very positive effects on my daily thinking, I thought why not pass this on to the world! It’s basically the practice of focusing your mind, by doing this often you gain a lot more control over your thoughts and emotions. There are a lot of meditation practice tips online already, but this comes from a highly personal perspective.

When you first start out, you’ll find that it’s a hard practice to master and requires a lot of patience and discipline.

Environment:

Make sure you’re in a quiet place that makes you feel safe, especially in the beginning try to pick a place that’s familiar to you. Read More→

The Art (Science) of Personal Transformation

By Arlene
Wednesday, January 12th, 2011

By Lateef Warnick

We invite you to become the person you dream to be! For many of us there is a stark difference between how the world sees us and how we may see ourselves. Oftentimes, we are very lenient and forgiving when it comes to our own shortcomings and yet we perhaps over inflate our strengths. It takes honest self-reflection and introspection to fairly gauge our personalities and character. In truth, our personalities are merely what we believe ourselves to be through the false senses of the ego. This is part of the goal of meditation, which is to step “outside ourselves” for a moment to realize our True Essence, which is a perfect spirit.

Join The Global Wake Up Call

By Arlene

“It’s time to way-eek uuuup!”

I remember hearing these exact words every morning as a child with my mother’s loving hands stroking my face and cheeks. It was not often that I resisted the call because I knew she had been up since before daylight preparing muffins, pancakes, and fresh squeezed orange juice. She was a wonderful cook and I loved everything she prepared, from ox tail soup to strawberry stuffed crepes. When she became ill with cancer I was a teenager and I continued to wake up early in the mornings, now before she did to help in the kitchen. On the rare occasion that I prepared breakfast it was simple but much appreciated by my siblings. These days I continue my mother’s tradition of cooking in the mornings, waking up early and delighting my boys with their favorites. Read More→
