LEADERSHIP

Fruition is the mark of leadership. Nothing makes a difference in practical life more than leadership: leadership of self; leadership of others (for instance, our children); and, submitting under the leadership of others and the direction of God. Leadership is completion; mature in the manner of being. Read More→

One of the hardest things for any person, man or woman, is letting go of a relationship that’s not meant to be. We are often attached to the illusion that this person is “the One” for us, and that if we don’t have him or her, we’ll never find somebody new.

Holding on to disappointment, hurt, blame, anger, resentment, and bitterness, we convince ourselves that “all men are jerks” or “all women are bitches.” Read More→

Insurance companies call events like flooding, hurricanes, and earthquakes acts of God. We use the phrase don’t make Mother Nature angry as a warning against the destruction she might cause when riled.

We live in a society that is addicted to fast, young, beautiful, and me, more, now. We are constantly told that we need to have this gadget, or make up, or job in order to be lovable, and in our constant quest for the quick fix, we really lose sight of ourselves.

It is remarkable that we spent so much time, money, and effort to look youthful and vital, and then condone men who leave their wives for a younger model. It is also tragic to see the vast numbers of young women, and increasingly men, who are electing to have surgery in order to be more…..whatever it is that they are chasing- thinner, more beautiful, younger, bigger breasts, and so on.

The advertisers take no responsibility for the increase in eating disorders, bad debt, or suicides that occur in our society because we are essentially not happy in our own skin. Read More→
