The Voice in Your Head: A Personal Perspective

By Arlene

By Suzanne Quinn and Andrea J. Brunswick

After seven years as a life coach, there are times that I still hear the voice in my head loud and clear.  Although I have been working with clients and helping to change lives for many years, my career has taken a new path.  My vision for my life and my career are big.  My partner and I have embarked on a new venture, which includes writing articles, building a website, blogging, developing products, social networking and speaking engagements.  Our vision is much bigger than the one on one coaching with which I am comfortable.  This means moving out of my comfort zone in many areas.

Two weeks ago, a loud ugly voice in my head told me, that I have bitten off way more than I can chew.  What do I know about writing articles?  What do I know about hosting webinars, creating new programs, and being a business owner?  My voice told me that I could not do it.  It told me that I was going to fail.  Read More→

Understanding The Fear of the Unknown And How To Manage The Fear In Your Own Life

By Arlene

By Devon K

Fear itself can basically be defined as being The End Result Of A Lack Of Experience. In other words, fear means that we don’t trust ourselves to deal with the situation the fear connects to. Take a moment to look at your own life and all the things you’re afraid of. How many of them are things you have a lot of experience dealing with? You may have lots of experience being afraid of it, but it’s unlikely you have much experience dealing with it.

Fear of the Unknown takes this one giant step further by making us afraid of all the things we don’t have experience with. Since most of us only have real experience in a limited number of things and situations, it allows the fear to become very, very big. However, as that would be far too much to deal with, our minds transform all of it into one big generalized fear of EVERYTHING. It is this “Generalized Fear” that we have to deal with if we want to become less afraid; or to deal with our fear of the unknown. Read More→

What’s In Your Purse?

By Arlene
Wednesday, February 23rd, 2011

By Suzanne Quinn and Andrea J. Brunswick

What do you carry around with you every day? Shame? Guilt? Fear? Pain? Past mistakes? Self-doubt? The truth is, besides lipstick, you pack your emotional b.s. every day, that keeps you blocked from the joy and fulfillment life offers.

This is something we don’t believe that we’re doing, or something that we don’t want to pay attention to. It’s like you put all this stuff that you haven’t dealt with or don’t want to deal with in a little dark space at the bottom of your purse, and close the zipper and try to forget about it. There it is, in your purse, mixed in with your makeup, your wallet and keys, weighing you down. Sometimes it feels like you have the kitchen in there. You carry this with you every day, everywhere you go, affecting everything you do and say. If you wonder why you are unsatisfied or unfulfilled or depressed, it is the contents of your purse that holds the answer. Read More→

On the Other Side of Terror Is Freedom

By Arlene

By Elise Fee

This wonderful quote by Bill Bauman helps us to see that so many of us turn away from what we fear, afraid to face it, too scared to look at the fear head on….knowing that if we do, we might perish. I know that sounds dramatic, but that’s really how it feels – like life or death, like facing that fear will annihilate us.

What’s ironic is that the more we fear fear, the greater fear’s power over us becomes. The less willing we are to look at our fear, the stronger and more powerful the hold is that fear has on us.

If we are willing to face our fear, shine the light on it, and walk through what terrifies us most…we will overcome it. I promise that you will live to see another day! Read More→

Choose: Love or Fear

By Arlene

By Dorothy Lee

This is the sixth in a series of eight articles based on The Eight Principles of Inner Peace as channeled by the Light Collective through renowned intuitive Kathryn Harwig. These principles are simple, yet profound, and apply to all beings in the cosmos. The essence of all eight principles is inner peace, and personal empowerment – the powerful ability of humans to create the world of their choosing.

Most people believe we have many emotions, but we learn from Principle Six – There are Two Basic Emotions, Love and Fear. The closer you can come to identifying your emotions as love or fear, the closer you are to determining which emotion is driving you.

Fear is a very powerful fuel, but love is a much more powerful emotion. If fifty people are love based, they can cancel five thousand fear-based people. Read More→
