By Arlene
Thursday, May 17th, 2012

By Angela Deutschmann

“We raise something here with you today: the distinction between love and approval.

Approval is when your intellectual opinion coincides with something that you see in the world. There is a place for approval, indeed. For example it is important that you approve of the environment in which you work, in which you invest so much time. If that environment is way out of line with your values, then you won’t be able to pour yourself in there beautifully and truthfully. Read More→

Listen to Letter fom my Ego about Achievement

I am having so much fun watching you achieve things in my name. You keep doing and doing and doing more, looking for that satisfaction and happiness that you think will come. By Arlene
Friday, May 13th, 2011

By Jason Lincoln Jeffers

According to a recent article in the New York Times, the upcoming revision of the psychiatric diagnostic standards manual, the DSM-V, does not include narcissistic personality disorder. Insurance companies, hospitals, treatment facilities and protocols will no longer be recognizing it or using it to direct treatment. Ostensibly, narcissism has become so pervasive in our society that it is now being viewed by our therapists and counselors as normal and acceptable behavior.

In ancient Greek mythology, the hunter Narcissus gazed down into a still pool of water and immediately fell in love with his own reflection. This surface, mirrored reflection is a metaphor for our phantom sense of self that we call the ego. The ego is not your true, eternal Self, but rather is based on whatever you identify with in the finite and transient amount of time that you have here on Earth. Read More→

By Arlene
Wednesday, May 4th, 2011

By Amy L Johnson

It’s a common confusion.

You feel an inner nudge. There’s a voice. But can you trust it? How do you know?

Is it really the deep voice of intuition, or just the mind? The guidance of Truth…or ego?

I’m often unsure, just like you. But I’ve been working on it for quite a while now, so I’m able to distinguish real guidance from false mind chatter better and better these days.

Here are some of the rules I use to know the difference: Read More→
