Simple actions can bring brilliant ideas to life and generate passion for going out and making a difference in the world. Thoughts are only seeds of possibility.

To reap a harvest we have to sow the seeds in the fertile field of action. Achieving balance in your life is essential in generating an inspiring pathway. Taking time to craft a personal plan for igniting your fire within will give you greater vision, passion, and a spirit of adventure that fuels your life. Achieving balance means preserving and enhancing your greatest asset you have…YOU. It means having a balanced, systematic program for self-renewal in four areas of your life: physical, social/emotional, mental and spiritual.

Physical:
Be sure to get your favorite exercise or activity in three to four times a week for at least 30 minutes. Exercise in the morning can start your day off with just the motivation you may need. If you are not getting your exercise in the morning, are you too tired at the end of the day? Put it in your schedule? Eat healthy whole foods regularly. Eating nutritiously gives us energy to go out and have a great day! What about your vitamin and mineral needs?

Social / Emotional:
Relationships can be one of the most enriching elements of life. For all your relationships the questions of trust, kindness, loyalty and values come into play. Often, people in our fast paced society operate on the mistaken assumption that we can quickly accumulate friendships and working relationships. Significant relationships take conscious effort and time.

Consider social / emotional restoration as having two compartments: self and others. Taking care of our needs come first. Without self-care and respect of oneself, we cannot give unconditionally to others. You are the primary person in charge of making sure your needs are met. What are you doing for yourself that shows regard, care and love for self?

Mental:
Researchers are saying vigorous mental exercises literally grows brain circuitry. If this is true, exercising your mental capacities should keep you as young and vital as exercising your body can.

Are you keeping a log or journal of some sort and engage in a regular writing process? I suggest Julia Cameron’s book, The Artist’s Way, for brilliant ideas and guidance. Are you using a system to plan and organize your time and agenda? Do you allow silence, music or some sort of relaxation exercise to clear your mind on a daily basis? Are you reading books and publications to expand your mind regularly? Consider subscriptions. Constant and never ending improvement in our lives can create a fulfilling life with many interesting adventures. Knowledge is power when we put it to use!

Spiritual:
Renewal in this area is a dimension of personal leadership and direction. The course we take comes from our moral compass within. Honoring and nurturing your inner guide provides the energy to travel the course for your life.

Connecting to our higher source for increased discernment, power, creativity or accomplishment can provide spiritual regeneration. Practicing meditation or sitting in complete silence to hear your higher intelligence, infinite wisdom and creativity can be a great sense of renewal. Donate your time. Reach outside yourself to others without any expectations is another beautiful way to renew your spirit.

What types of things are you doing to be inspired and spiritually refreshed? I invite you to take time to create a personal renaissance.

This may be the single most influential venture you engage in. It will yield an elevated personal capacity to produce and enhance results. In other words, deep revival provides the maximum expression of balanced and harmonious living. Who do you know that would not want that!

ACTION STEP:
Right now take out a piece of paper and write out the four areas. In each area list what you are currently doing regularly or what you will commit to incorporate into your life and then transfer it to your daily/weekly planner. When we schedule and write out our routine or goals in our planners we have a higher tendency to accomplish them and we feel empowered, especially when we can check them off!
