Single mothers, whether by choice or not, face the challenges of being the sole provider for their children. They must hold the space for a household to thrive and succeed. However, there is an underlying theme that is present in the lives of single motherhood- that single moms must struggle or cannot make enough money to their needs and fulfill their ideal lifestyle. I believe that this is expectancy, a false belief that has been woven into the consciousness of single motherhood.
I do believe that single mothers can go beyond their limiting beliefs and more importantly break through the barriers that have been pre-written in the mind of humanity. Single mothers do not have to struggle. They are capable of succeeding and doing it in a way that is balanced and creates harmony for their entire family. Unfortunately many single moms are faced with financial challenges immediately. They become acutely aware of their lack of money or lack of time needed to make money.
How can single moms break through these patterns and establish a new blueprint for success for themselves and their children?
1.Belief:
Your beliefs about money create your reality. If you have any lingering fearful beliefs or thoughts about money, then no matter what you do, those thoughts will rule your reality. Change your beliefs about money and you will change your financial destiny.
2.Get organized:
If you are not keeping up with how you spend your money on a regular basis, then you will experience a sense of not really knowing how much you have. You must know your money intimately if you are going to thrive financially as a single mother.
3.Practice:
Make a commitment every day to practice using your money wisely. Create a budget so that you can keep track of what you need vs. your wants. Eliminate your wants for a while and you will see that practicing making wise money choices becomes an easy habit to master.
4.Create New Values:
You live your life by your values. If your values are too flexible or undefined then everything you do will have unclear boundaries and limits. This can be confusing and cause and incredible amount of stress. Your values should reflect the highest vision of yourself and your ideal life. Create values that you want to live by and then start making financial choices that will help you to fulfill your ideal life.
Taking control of your financial destiny will give you power and control over your choices. You are the authority in your life. It is your birth right to be happy, successful, and peaceful. Start today by taking a deep look at where you are right now and then where you want to be. Be honest with yourself so that you can begin to make choices that will create positive change in your life.
