There are many different things that you can do to increase your social circle, which can have far reaching effects on many aspects of your life. Choosing to increase the number of people that you know can be a very rewarding and engaging experience both from a personal and business perspective. So what can we do to increase our social circle:

Talk to people! This can be the postman, people in the pub, even people on the train (this can cause some odd reactions at times!). But engaging people with relevant conversation will generally ensure that you are recognised as an outgoing person. Being approachable is an important part of this process, so try to adapt your posture and possibly your image to someone you believe to be approachable.

Take up a hobby. Having a hobby is a great way of getting to know new people as you have a common interest. There are a huge range of hobbies from photography lessons to pole dancing lessons for the more adventurous. The more engaging the activity, the more likely you will be to make new friends. Try and think of things which you have an active interest and then find local classes on this topic.

Attend seminars and events. This can be a great way of meeting new people. I always maintain the opinion that you never know how somebody will be able to help you. In my experience the ones that you least expect may

Networking events can be a great way of increasing your business contacts, but these events can also serve as a very useful way of finding new friends.

Try to set your life in a routine, if you do this you will be much more likely to make new friends as you will be more likely to see the same people on a regular basis. There’s no harm in saying hello to someone who you recognise, even if this is by way of a casual nod!

Even simple things such as exercise can lead to making new friends, if you go to a gym or even just for a jog on the same circuit before you know it you will get to know a few people that’s for sure!

Find other like minded people, so this can be through internet websites on a particular subject or hobby, or also in the local press. There are bound to be lots of events that you have not considered that will be advertised.

Consider what people of your age group will be doing as this may lead to further suggestions.

Making new friends can be a gradual and slow process at times, but there will be those fun and entertaining people out there that you may wish to meet, its just a matter of finding them! Best of luck. Please visit http://www.thebacklinkspeople.com to increase you businesses online presence.
