Let’s Unveil our Magnificence

By Arlene · Comments (0)

One TV program really got my attention this week: on America’s Got Talent, 10 year old Jackie Evancho sang Giacomo Puccini’s aria “O Mio Babbino Caro” like nothing I’ve ever heard before: it totally blew me away! You could only call it Divine. She was magnificent!

What it made me realize is how magnificent we all are! Yes, each and every one of us has a gift, a light inside of us waiting to shine on the world. Can we please promise ourselves to take off those lampshades and dark shrouds we’re wearing and let our light shine on the world?

How to Begin Anything Fearlessly!

A few weeks ago, I was on a Group Coaching Call for my Conscious Creative Success Circle. Amy was on the call and sounded “nail-bitey.” (That’s how I describe that “can’t-get-started” nervous state we all feel sometimes!) Amy is just starting her business. She’s learning a lot and doesn’t know where to begin. She wanted advice about this, about what to do, and how to get things off the ground. It’s so tempting in a situation like this to do what EVERY single music biz executive-type did to me when I was getting started: Shout out a big laundry list of to-do’s. After all, laundry lists and more information make us all feel like we’ve gotten our money’s worth, no?

Of course there’s LOTS of actions to take and lists to make when we need to start any project. Read More→

Let’s face it. No matter how much progress we make, we’re still going to have “bad days.” You know the ones.

When the old critical voices are milling about drinking martinis and eating crab puffs in your head. You try to send them all away with your favorite powerful affirmation, but only a few of them even look up – and one of them turns away and lights a cigarette.

What do you do when no matter what you do, you just feel awful? Read More→

By Chris Moon-Willems

To overcome loneliness, we need good friends around us. Whilst the need for close relationships does not diminish as we grow older, the opportunity and means for making friends does. If we lose a partner for whatever reason, sometimes relationships we shared with them are lost or damaged and the fear of feeling isolated or lonely becomes greater. Wherever we are on our life transition journey we need people who care for us on our team and need to put time and effort into making new relationships. Here are five tips to get you going. Perfect Timing – All the Way to Heaven is Heaven

By Tama J. Kieves

Recently a client of mine was sick of “having faith” while it seemed she slogged towards her dream in thick molasses. “I just want to get there now,” she screeched, scoffing at all her previous progress. I felt sad. This wasn’t the combustible kind of frustration that would help her take constructive bold action. Rather it seemed like she was stomping on all the flowers in the garden, breaking the china in her house, ripping up poems and short stories, and screaming about the mess. “Put down the machete,” I said. “You will never grow by cutting yourself down.” And we began to talk about timing.

Maybe you’ve noticed this already, but giving birth to an authentic life is not a linear process. It’s a jumbled, jubilant, mystical one. And it has its own timing. The timing is there for our benefit. We can’t see this through furious eyes. But patience lends us curious eyes. And curious eyes will often see meaning, mercy, and majesty. Read More→
