by Godi Gutierrez…

Read at the Symposium on Peace and Nonviolence organized by the World Center of Humanist Studies held in Rome, Italy, this is basically composed of excerpts from two chapters of Godi’s book, Free Interpretation Redux, An Inquiry into the background of Vengeance, Violence and Nonviolence.

I had a nice online chat with one of the followers of my blog, “Free Interpretation Redux — An Inquiry into the Background of Vengeance, Violence and Nonviolence”.

We were talking about free interpretation and its connection to nonviolence. And, as is usual, every time nonviolence is talked about, Hitler and the Nazis are almost always invoked. Even just for the sake of argument, they would always asked Read More→

by Jack Armstrong…

The following passages are from a remarkable new book, Lessons from the Source: A Spiritual Guidebook for Navigating Life’s Journey. The book is made up almost entirely of written teachings received by Jack Armstrong through Inner Dictation – the same process though which A Course in Miracles and Conversations with God were conveyed.

The lessons in the book transcend belief systems and are presented in concise, user friendly, easy-to-understand language. The passages below are from Chapter Two of the book, entitled “The Challenges of Earth Life,” and address our dual identity as eternal spiritual beings having a simultaneous, yet temporary, experience in the physical world, as well as the illusions we confront during our earthly adventure. ezine20090722_chooseMuch of the content from today’s blog was inspired by my own revelations through my Personal Development Course with the assistance of my mentor, as well as Stephen Covey’s book ‘Seven Habits of Highly Effective People’

Do you feel as if you have no control over the things that happen in your life? Do you feel that it’s circumstances or conditions that have placed you where you are now and there is just nothing you can do about it? Well if you are, then you are living life reactively and it’s time for you to wake up and understand that you do have a choice. You are the controller of your destiny. You decide how your life will unfold by the decisions you make and the reactions you have to the events that occur Read More→

by Dr. Angela Heppner…

ezine20090722_heppner1Sometimes, more often times then not, people come into your life and you will know right away how special they are and that they were meant to be there. To serve some sort of purpose, help teach you who you really are, or direct you to the path of who you wish to become.

You never know or see them coming but once you lock eyes with them, get to know them, or share in their light, you realize that every moment spent Read More→

The Most Important Thing to Learn From Michael Jackson’s Life

by Ed Beck…

ezine20090715_mjMichael Jackson. Where do I even start with this one. The past generation’s Elvis. An absolute genius of entertainment. Cultivated from before he could ride a bike and programmed for success. With all the stories and headlines over his approximately 45 year career there has to be something we can learn from such a prolific icon. I heard the stampede of people attempting to market and capitalize on his death. There will be billions generated from his demise. Much of it having nothing to do with his true talents. The news stories, books, products, marketing campaigns to generate traffic, and this is just the beginning. Go right ahead and use his name as you see fit (legally) but I suggest you make sure you feel good about whatever you do. You will remember this moment in history for the rest of your life.
