by Trevor Hill

ezine20090422_wantSometimes it is amusing to look at the naivety of youth. When I think back to my early working life, I thought my employer was lucky to have me there. I knew that if things took a turn I didn’t like, I would simply go elsewhere – I would fire my boss!

As I gained more experience and became ’sensible’, I began to be more tolerant and to take account of how things would appear on my CV. Even then I sometimes got to a point where I would send in my resignation – on occasions it was accepted and other times not.

My strategy to cope with significant problems was to resign. Of course, the word resign has two meanings: the first is Read More→

Four Keys to Choosing Conscious Language

Wednesday, May 20th, 2009

by Hara L Taicher

ezine20090422_parrotThere are so many daily actions to take and responsibilities to fulfill that the thought of monitoring our words may seem like a luxury we don’t have time for. After all, we may believe we have good intentions, and that should be enough.

Here’s the short answer to that seemingly innocent thought. What we think of, speak about and act upon creates our reality. First we think of something. We get an idea. Then we speak about it. We put language to express our thoughts. The last step is we act upon our thoughts and words to move our desire forward.

Wednesday, May 20th, 2009

ezine20090415_twocalas1Everything in life, in order to be a success, requires knowledge and education to some extent. Fear, the Enemy of Faith

Wednesday, May 20th, 2009

by DS

ezine20090408_fearWhat is faith? Do we associate it too often with a religion or dogma? I’d like to believe it is simply a matter of believing in truth, love, and life, whether it brings you the good or bad. Children understand faith more than adults, as they have no doubts about life; they trust blindly; they’re full of hope. I was recently bewildered by the courage and ingenuity of Kathy, my colleague’s niece.

Kathy is 10 years old and lives in Repentigny with her parents and two younger sisters. Her mom is expecting a fourth toddler any day now, but more than that, she is also facing anxiety and fear over a delicate surgery that Kathy must undergo. Kathy has a rare tumor in her jaw, which is dangerously expanding in her sinuses and eyes. Read More→

Why Can’t I Get What I Want?

Wednesday, May 20th, 2009

by Daniel K Foisy

ezine20090408_whitebird1Life seemed to have it in for me. So many times I have wanted things, only to be disappointed. Why can’t I get what I want? Or even better yet, why do others have what I want? I have often wondered why some people have so much and seem not to give anything back. Why can’t they help me out?

I could not understand why some people have so much without doing anything for it. They come from rich families, had all the best opportunities, and had everything given on a silver platter. Most of them are not smarter than I am and I certainly thought they were not as deserving. Read More→
